What I use

A personal list of the operating systems, main PC hardware components, work laptop, peripherals, home servers, mobile daily driver, and in-house networking gear I use every day.

OS & Environment

Primary OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed (KDE Plasma 6, Wayland)
Secondary OS: Arch Linux
Terminal & Shell: kitty + fish shell

Main PC Hardware

I built this PC myself from scratch right before the rampocalypse and im proud of it.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
GPU: Gigabyte RX 7600 8GB OC
RAM: Kingston Fury 2x8GB 5600 MT/s
Primary SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB
Secondary SSD: Samsung 980 500GB
PSU: MSI MAG A650BN

Work Laptop

My portable machine used primarily for work, mobile tasks, and as a reliable backup workstation.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
RAM: 32GB DDR4
Storage: Samsung 980 500GB NVMe SSD

Servers

I run two dedicated headless machines for my homelab and background services. Both operate purely via the command line and are managed remotely from my main PC over SSH. Both systems also feature battery backup power to keep everything running smoothly during sudden outages.

Primary Server (Ubuntu CLI)

The machine that sparked my journey into Linux and gave me the confidence to leave Windows behind completely.

CPU: Intel Core i3-6006U
RAM: 12GB DDR3
Storage: 128GB SSD + 512GB HDD

Mainly used for hosting my personal websites and running my entire self-hosted stack.

Secondary Server (Debian CLI)

Built to strengthen my sysadmin skills and distribute background workloads across a separate dedicated node.

CPU: Intel Core i3-1115G4
RAM: 8GB DDR4
Storage: 256GB NVMe SSD

Mainly dedicated to hosting game servers and running heavier tasks.

Phone

Device: Google Pixel 9 running GrapheneOS

In-House Networking

I replaced the default ISP router setup entirely to have full control over traffic and hardware. The incoming fiber line connects directly into an SFP-to-RJ45 media converter, which feeds into a FRITZ!Box 7950 handling the main WAN connection and head routing.

For my room and local devices, I use a Xiaomi AX3000T flashed with custom OpenWrt firmware, handling local routing, access point duties, and hardwired Ethernet connections.
